The Hong Kong Thyroid Society was established in 2011 by our founding President, Dr. Ng Wai Tat, who collaborates with a group of doctors interested to share and discuss on different thyroid conditions. Our aim is to increase the awareness on varies thyroid disease to the medical profession as well as the public. We would also encourage on research, education and new advances in the treatment of thyroid diseases.

Over these few years, we have arranged a few clinic meetings in public and private hospital, sharing on different topics like ultrasound, Graves’ disease, surgery and case scenario sharing. Besides, we are still looking forward to seeing more occasions to conjoint with other medical societies in the propagation of thyroid awareness.

Welcome to the Hong Kong Thyroid Society. With the growing concern of the general public towards thyroid diseases, our society is trying our best to introduce to the public with information regarding different thyroid diseases, thus to promote health in our community. Different professionals are involved many a time in the treatment of thyroid diseases, such as endocrinologists, surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, ophthalmologists, pathologists, ultrasonographers, radiographers, nurses, etc. Through our society and our different activities, we hope professionals from different sectors can join hands and promote the awareness and management of thyroid diseases in Hong Kong.
